Real Smart Developments, LLC is an Alaskan woman owned and locally operated business created in 2011 as an acceptance to the Living Building Challenge. To create a built environment which enhances the surrounding environment.

Our ultimate purpose is to assist traditional contractors in seeing the financial benefits of building “green”, and providing the technical, financial, and engineering re- sources needed for them to grow as sustainable contractors building an inventory of net-zero homes, busi- nesses, and government buildings. Revitalizing the con- struction industry is key to building the infrastructure for local living closed-loop, zero-waste, clean energy economies. Strong stable economies are reflected in the communities and the families therein. This is how we will build sustainable cities, towns, and remote communities.

Built around 10 years experience in the sustainable con- struction industry of Portland, Oregon. Real Smart Developments, LLC has been reconstituted in Alaska with a core team of competent local professionals to assist residential, commercial, and government clients assess, manage, and maximize the profits of their energy portfolios.
